ELENA goes to Mexico!
Film will be shown from March 2 to 4 at the Guadalajara Film Festival
Selected for the official competition section of the 28th Guadalajara International Film Festival, the feature film by Petra Costa will
make his première in a Spanish-speaking country on March 2. As soon as we heard about the selection, rushed to provide subtitles
in this language and sent the film to the organizers. Now, it’s all right: we are “listos” to invade Mexico!
ELENA is the only Brazilian film in the documentary category. The competition for best fiction film has two national films – “Xingu”, by Cao Hamburger, and “Era uma vez eu, Verônica”, by Marcelo Gomes – and two co-productions with Brazilian participation:
“Infancia Clandestina”, directed by Argentine Benjamin Avila, and “La Playa DC,” by the Colombian Juan Andres Arango Garcia.
Guadalajara Film Festival is considered the most important one in Latin America. Altogether, 18 feature films compete for the
Mayahuel Award for best documentary. The final ceremony will take place on March 9. See below the schedule of ELENA:
